Summer Conference 2016

In Engage by Dieter Randolph

Registration for our Second Annual Summer Conference is now open, and you are invited!  These events change lives, enrich spirituality, and make a difference in the world.  The only thing we’re missing is you.  We are stepping out on faith and conducting this event without any official sponsors; this is a real grassroots, barn-raising event, and we’re grateful for any kind of participation, support, or promotion you can give.

There are more details, a Conference flyer, a registration form, and all kinds of goodies one at the official event site, events.iamunity.org, but here are the high points:

  • The event is from July 10-15, at the lovely Holiday Inn and Suites in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. We worked with our teens to find a secure, clean, modern facility for our event, while still keeping the prices down, and we’re really excited about what we’ve come up with.
  • The Summer Conference is a multi-age event. There will be special, and separate, activities for teens, college-age young adults, and everyone else, and some powerful group workshops as well.
  • The focus of the event is getting in touch with our roots, taking that beautiful tradition into the future, and making a real difference in the world right here and now. Attendees will leave with a richer understanding of what it means to be a Unity person and what it takes to build a life that works.
  • We’ll be doing a real service project for the local spiritual community, and along the way we’ll learn the value of service and putting our faith into action.
  • There will be a meaningful graduation and recognition ceremony; if you have teen graduates or recent graduates, you’ll want to share this with them especially.
  • Safety, organization, and respectful treatment are of the utmost importance to us, and we are doing everything we can to insure that the overall experience is in alignment with those ideals.
  • When you take a look at the event website, you’ll see some more information about the Conference and the registration process, as well as the flyer and some other supporting documents. After attendees have registered, this same website will power a mobile experience that will enable them to see more detail about the workshops and speakers, the schedule and directions, and other helpful insights. We are working to be as close to “paperless” as possible as part of our commitment to the environment.

Our mission is Unity, Authenticity, and Empowerment, and the Summer Conference is an important step in the process of taking those values into the next generation.  Whether you can attend, help a young person to be a part of this event, spread the word, or just help us hold the consciousness, we are grateful for all your love and support!
