We are Dieter and Jenny Randolph. We are here to remind you that God is good, which means that YOU are good. When you know that, it’s your job to do good in the world. We started the Unity Society as a way to inspire this kind of life, but it’s only the latest step in a long journey.
We met when we were teenagers, and haven’t left each other’s side since. Along the way we’ve had amazing adventures and life-altering learning opportunities. We are still growing up together, and love sharing what we find along the way. In the course of a single year, we got married, started a storefront church, and saw the birth of our first child, all before either of us was old enough to rent a car. In the more than twenty years since then, we haven’t stopped moving.
We’re glad you’re here with us now. At the Unity Society you’ll find ideas and inspiration that you can put to use in everyday life. We hope you feel welcome, and we know that together we can make a difference. If there’s anything we can do to help you on your journey, please let us know.
Jenny and Dieter
Jenny Randolph, Founder
Jenny has always been a teacher. When she was still in high school she spent a summer teaching basic music to elementary aged kids. She and Dieter homeschooled their two children, Miles and Raina. As a result, Raina started college courses at the age of 13, and Miles at 15. The kids are all grown up now, and usually have something new to teach their parents. Jenny is a sponsor for the teen group at her home church; the same group where she met Dieter. In her capacity as sponsor, Jenny’s been creating and running spiritual retreats for more than a decade. Jenny grew up on a Wyoming ranch, surrounded by horses, chickens, rabbits, cats, dogs and even a few horny toads as her pets. It was here that she learned to love all animals and has been a vegetarian for more than 20 years. She also learned the value of hard work and the joy of making things with her own hands. She does this in the kitchen by making her own bread, canning fruits and veggies and serving up some awesome vegetarian comfort food. Outside the kitchen there are always home repairs, upgrades, or art projects going on at the Randolphs’ place. Jenny is fiercely independent and doesn’t believe there’s anything that can’t be learned or fixed with a little moxie and hard work. She is here to live a fully awake and passionate life and hopes she can help you do the same.
Dieter Randolph, Founder
A third-generation minister, Dieter has been on this path since childhood. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, where his parents were studying and working at Unity Village. As a teen, he served in many leadership roles within the Youth of Unity, and it was in the Y.O.U. that he met Jenny. Throughout his journey, Dieter has been on fire about finding ways to take spiritual ideas beyond the traditional church setting. As he puts it, “I think that for something to be truly meaningful, it has to apply to everybody, not just people in one specific situation or community.” With that idea in mind, Dieter has spoken and taught in countless venues and formats. Wherever he finds himself, people find him. Invariably folks come to Dieter with a hunger to grow, to find passion, to live deliberately.
Dieter is here to help you find a life that you love, one that feeds you instead of making you feel tired. We’re all in this together. When you win, so does the world.
